At Shinobi Martial arts you are not forced to conform. Large, small, young, old, man or woman, every student receives a completely unique martial arts experience. The principles are custom fit to you and your situation.

We are not a dojo daycare.

We’re not here to baby-sit your children. They have fun, they play games but all the exercises are designed to increase their awareness, focus and safety. We expect them to learn. We help them grow.

The training is not confusing.

How do you tell a child not to punch and kick on the school playground when you are teaching them to punch and kick in class? We teach injury prevention and violence evasion, how to be safe without being a bully.

Shinobi Martial Arts is not a belt factory.

No one receives rank just for showing up to class. You will not see an eight-year-old child wearing a black belt at our school. We hold our students to a higher standard. At Shinobi students challenge themselves.

Shinobi Martial Arts is not just for kids.

Most martial arts schools are 80 to 90% children with huge turnover because they run out of things to teach. Kids get bored, never mind adult students. Out art is comprised of nine complete, battle-tested systems. Here you have the opportunity for a lifetime of learning.

Our martial art is not a sport.

There is nothing wrong with competitions and games of sport but the principles of self-defense are very different. Bigger, stronger and tougher doesn’t work for everyone. The arts we teach are meant to protect anyone in any situation. At Shinobi Martial Arts you learn real self-protection not sport.

Shinobi Martial Arts is not a gym.

The training is an awesome workout but we don’t spend half your class doing jumping jacks, we actually teach. There is no wasted time, every exercise and drill is a lesson in how to protect you. The training is educational, fun and a great workout.

At Shinobi Martial Arts you are not taught by amateurs.

The three owners of Shinobi Martial Arts combined have over eighty years of martial arts training, fifty years of teaching experience and more than twenty years running martial arts schools. We are professionals with a passion for what we teach.

You are not locked in to a contract.
